The Q&A Archives: Deer/tulip Damage

Question: How much of the tulip leaves can be eaten by deer and still expect to have some flowers?

Answer: Within the central base of foliage is the flower stem and bud. If the deer have eaten the bud then there will be no flower this year. If they have only nipped the early foliage you will still have blooms.
