MY FERN WAS IN PARTIAL SUN AND I WATERED IT EVERY OTHERDAY. IT STARTED OFF TO BE 24 INCHES AND BY THE END OF SUMMER IT WAS 70 INCHES. I SOLD IT. I BOUGHT IT IN A 12" IN HANGINGING PLANTER AND TRANSPLANTED TO A LARGER POT WITH MIRACLE GROW POTTING SOIL, NOT THE ONE THAT IS MOISTURE MIRACLE GROW. MAKE SURE YOU DON'T PUT IT IN THE SUN

Boston Ferns prefer moist soil so water as often as necessary to keep the soil from drying out. You can feed weekly with a quarter-strength dilution of liquid fertilizer, or monthly with a full strength dilution of liquid fertilizer. Since Boston Ferns grow year around you can feed monthly without worrying about overfeeding. Provide bright light outdoors but keep your fern out of direct sunlight.
