Hi, Which variety of clematis will bloom for the longest period? Which varieties will rebloom again in the same season? Thanks. Donna Moore

Clematis lanuginosa provides the most bloom. It's a "twice blooming" clematis, blooming in the spring on last year's stems, and in the summer or fall on current wood. After spring flowers fade, prune heavily so that new shoots will develop for a second round of flowers.
