| I have just recently taken on the chore of planting. I have purchased morning glory seeds, however I did not cut and soak the seeds before planting. Will this still allow me to grow flowers or shall I start over? Note: planted outside Thank you, Jill |
| Morning glories are often soaked in water for a few hours or overnight or may be scratched with sandpaper or nicked lightly with a knife. These steps are taken to try to speed up and possibly increase the overall rate of germination, but they are not strictly necessary. Many gardeners find that their vines self seed from year to year, so those seeds are germinating without any help from the gardener. Morning glories tend to germinate once the soil has warmed, so you will need to be patient until then. |
