The Q&A Archives: Pussy Willows

Question: I bought a pussy willow tree and I would like to get as much information about it concerning planting and the care required, as well as, the stages that the plant goes through during the year.

Answer: Pussy willows prefer full sun to light shade and do best in a moist soil with at least average fertility. They are deciduous trees and lose their leaves in the fall. The catkins open in the spring before the leaves reappear.
