| As soon as nighttime temperatures remain above 45F you can plant your azaleas and hydrangeas outdoors. Be sure to make the change from indoor to outdoor growing conditions gradual or your plants will suffer. Take the plants outdoors during the day and bring them back in at night. After 3-4 days of this treatment, move them to a protected area at night (such as a garage or carport). A week of this acclimation procedure should harden your plants off enough that they'll be ready to camp outdoors all day and all night. |
