How and when do I dig up my tulip bulbs to relocate and break apart the bulbs? I was told to do it in the winter, but I am never sure exactly where there are. |
The bulbs should be allowed to grow in the spring so that the foliage can build their strength for next year. Once the foliage has faded naturally, the bulbs can be dug, dried off, and stored for the summer. Keep them in a single layer in a location that is dry and has good air circulation. Replant them in the fall as one would plant newly purchased bulbs. |
