How can I get rid of garter snakes that are in my yard and on my driveway?

Garter snakes seem to be more visible in early spring and then become less noticeable. These snakes are very helpful to gardeners and should really be welcomed. In any case they do no harm to the garden and are not a threat to people or pets. If you truly want to get rid of them, you might try contacting your local animal control or game commission for assistance in catching them.
