| I purchased a Varigated Red Twig Dogwood from Bates Nursery in Whites Creek this spring. One branch is covered with solid green leaves that are different in shape from the varigated ones. What had caused this and should I be concerned that it will eventually become green? |
| In some cases a variegated plant will occasionally send out a non-variegated shoot once in a while. Any such shoots should be removed promptly. Since the plain green shoots are usually more vigorous that a variegated shoot would be, there is a chance that it could eventually outgrow and overwhelm the variegated portion of the plant. |
