I had potted bulb flowers for Easter and would like to know what to do so that next year they will bloom. Do I transplant them know or preserve them in some way. thank you |
Keep the bulbs growing in the pot, and cut off the spent flowering stem when the flowers fade. Provide bright light and keep the soil barely moist. The goal is to keep the foliage growing for as long as possible. Once it has faded, stop watering. Unpot the bulbs and remove the withered leaves, store the bulbs in a cool and dry location with good air circulation until fall. Then, plant them as you would newly purchased bare tulip bulbs. |
