I hang 12-inch reservoir baskets at the lake and need some extremely hardy flowering plants. These baskets are in full sun, subject to whatever wind we have, and usually get watered only on weekends, possibly once during the week. Any help?

Those are tough conditions since containers can dry out so rapidly. Some possibilities include alyssum, gazanias, geraniums, ice plant, lantana, portulaca, and vinca. You might want to try a mix to see which performs better for you. You might also want to add some type of water-absorbing polymer in your soil mix to release water over time.
