The Q&A Archives: Transplanting Peonies

Question: When is the best time of year to transplant existing peonies?

Answer: Peony plants can be transplanted in late summer or fall, when the foliage dies back and the plants go dormant. Be as gentle as possible with the peony plants; they are sensitive and can be difficult to transplant.
