I received some poppy seeds from my son in Calfornia and am interested in planting them in my yard in Utah. Could you please tell me how deep I should plant these, how much water they will need and how much sun they should receive each day. |
Poppy seeds are tiny so they can be scattered and then just very lightly covered. Keep moist until they germinate. After they start growing they need a fairly consistent supply of water. They take full sun, although they will also benefit from protection from hot afternoon sun. They self-sow readily if you let the flowers dry and go to seed. |
