What would you recommend for a hedge that's fast growing, dense, low maintaince, grows tall, and able to handle the weather of Erie,Pa. I'm looking for a tall-screen type hedge and do not know what type to look for. THANK YOU!

There are many possibilities depending on the sun and wind and soil conditions you have. You might want to consult with your local county extension for a more localized suggestion, but you could consider arborvitae, privet, lilac, and red twigged dogwoods. You might also consider a tall fence if you need immediate screening since all of the plants will take several years to grow to any size at all.
