| What time of year is best to prune a weigela bush? It is 3 years old, flowering well, but we have never cut it back. I would like to encourage it to get larger, it's currently 3 x 3 ft. |
| Depending on the variety, your plant may mature at approximately that size. (Pink Princess for example can reach three to five feet and is a popular small variety.) The plant would be pruned immediately after blooming, but a young plant such as yours would not be likely to need any heavy pruning yet. |
