can i use epsom salts to encourage basal breaks on new and established rosebushes -how much/how often

Epsom salts can be used at a rate of a half a cup per plant per month during the growing season. Apply to the soil and water it in. It provides magnesium and can enhance new cane production as well as intensify flower color and help leach salts through the soil.
