The Q&A Archives: Apricot Polinator

Question: I have an apricot moon gold or sun gold, I do not know which. I know that you need
a polinator for those. Do you need the opposite for a polinator - if so is
there a way to tell which is which or will either work as a polinator?

Answer: Moongold produces golden, plum sized fruit and Sungold produces slightly flattened, bright orange, sweet fruit. Most varieties are self-fruitful, but produce best when another variety is grown nearby. Moongold is an early flowering tree and Sungold is a later bloomer. Once you decide which tree you have, find another that blooms at the same time to provide cross-pollination, and a larger crop of apricots.
