I'm trying to find the perfect evergreen tree to use between my 1926 Spanish Revival home and my neighbor's backyard two-story rental unit. Lots are small so I need heighth, not breadth, to the tree. I'm planning on giving the backyard a tropical look. I'd appreciate any suggestions you may have. As a side-note, you have a wonderful website! |
Cyathea cooperi (Australian Tree Fern) is a fast growing, tropical looking evergreen and might fit the situation you describe. Another possiblity is a banana tree (sold either as Musa or Ensete). Finally, you may find just the right palm tree to block the neighbor's view. I'd suggest Sabal, Washingtonia or Brahea. Glad you like the website! |
