I live in Central New Jersey near the coast and have planted pansies in a semi-shady area. I have never gown pansies before and in my zeal for blooms I may have over fertilized them. They have stopped blooming and appear "sick". Can anthing be done to save them. I have planted impatients near them since, which were not fertilized, and they are doing well. |
Your pansies may be suffering from several factors, but a combination of warm weather and overfertilizing and even overly acid soil or overwatering could easily cause yellowing. Since these plants do not usually survive summer heat very well, it is almost time for them to be replaced anyway. Gardening is always full of live and learn experiences! |
