| The only time you need to worry about cross pollination is if you plant to save--or eat--the seed. The fruit--the cukes, melons, etc.--are not affected by the type of pollen that fertilizes the flowers. So if you're growing pumpkins specifically for roasting the seed, or if you plan to save seed for harvesting next year, then you'll need to take some precautions to prevent cross pollination. Otherwise, you don't need to worry. |
