Ants On Viburnum Shrub - Knowledgebase Question

i have 3 viburnum shrubs 2 of the are flowering great, one has lots of ants all over it and no flowers. How can i get rid of these ants without damaging my shrubs

You may find on close inspection that the shrub is covered with aphids which are in turn attracting the ants. If this is the case, insecticidal soap such as Safer's can be used to kill the aphids. Read and follow the label instructions. Meanwhile, make sure the shrub is provided with ample moisture to help it recover.
