I have everbearing raspberry plants. How do I prepare the plants for next year s spring and fall blooming seasons? |
To get both spring and fall crops, prune in spring while the canes are dormant, removing crowded, damaged or weak canes, and any old fruiting tips. Remaining canes should be 6-8" apart. Topdress the patch with an inch of compost. After the early harvest, remove the old canes. The first-year canes will produce fruit in the fall. |
