What do I feed Gomphrena to make them grow and flower? Do they like acidic soil?

Gomphrena, or globe amaranth, thrives in full sunshine, in average, well-drained soil with a neutral to slightly alkaline pH. Gomphrena is tolerant of dry soil and does not need regular fertilizing. They're rather tough plants - if you coddle them, they may grow a lot of lush leaves and not bloom at all!
