What percent of vegetable seeds will germinate a year or two old. I have a small garden area and always have seeds left over from previous years. Ken Kremke

You can save unused seeds for use the following year if you store them in airtight containers and put them in a cool, dark place. Germination rates should be about 80 percent, depending upon type of seed. Under proper storage, seeds can remain viable for several years.
