My Poor Balloon Flowers - Knowledgebase Question

A week ago we had a very bad hail storm, It got my balloon flowers pretty bad. Look more like sticks with just a few leave. Not blooming they do not look too good. Been tempted to cut them off, start over, or would they. Help!

As long as the root system is still viable, and it probably is, since hail wouldn't affect that, they should reprout greenery if you cut them back. Balloon flowers usually have a long flowering period for a perennial, up to two months, so they could still send up another flower stalk. As long as they look bad anyway, it's worth a try!
