Can Sweet Olive be pruned for a smaller space and still keep it's leaves and flowers? I'd like to plant it along the sides of my front porch for the fragrance but am afraid it may outgrow the space. Thanks!

To keep Osmanthus compact, regularly pinch tips of the new growth out. This will keep the plant bushy and slightly smaller in size. These shrubs are often grown as sheared hedges, so don't be concerned about losing the flowers - simply wait until flowering is finished and then pinch the stems back.
