I have a Greek oregano and a golden oregano which I planted about three years ago. This year the plants have no flavor and no smell. Am I doing something wrong or have they just run their course?

Oreganos develop a stronger flavor when grown in lean soil (not overfertilized) and a bit later in the season when the weather is warm and the sun is strong. Their essential oils will be most concentrated just before they come into bloom. Taste them in a few weeks once summer is here and they should be pungent again.
