The Q&A Archives: What Is Peat Moss Used For?

Question: What is peat moss used for?

Answer: It is used as a soil amendment to add organic matter and to acidify soil in the planting hole. It needs to be mixed in thoroughly, because if left in "chunks" it can dry out and then it is hard to rewet when watering the plants.
