Rabbits may sometimes be deterred by a homemade repellent spray based on garlic and/or red pepper. Generally the procedure would be to blenderize the spices and add them to water, allow them to steep overnight, then strain the liquid so it will pass through a sprayer. Apply and reapply often as needed. Some gardeners also report success in allowing a pet dog or cat to patrol the area, as well as in sprinkling dried blood meal (found with organic fertilizers) over the garden. In my experience, however, the most reliable solution is a fence.
