| I have several roses that I have recently planted. They had lots of blooms, but they all began to drop their blooms within a few days of transplanting. Is this normal and is there a plant food that will help them retain their blooms for a longer period of time? |
| The shrubs are probably suffering from transplant shock. Dropping blooms, as well as some yellowing and dropping of leaves, is common after transplant. It is often recommended to buy plants that are not in bloom, or to snip off blooms before transplanting, as the goal is to allow the plant to expend its energy on developing a healthy root system before flowering. I wouldn't worry about your roses at this point. |
