What is causing the tips of the leaves of the white spiderwort to turn black?

The usual cause is lack of humidity. Try misting the plant on a regular basis to increase humidity. Other causes can be fluoride in the water (some plants are more sensitive than others). You can try using bottled water for your spiderwort. I cut away the ends of the leaves to remove the blackened tips and make the plant more attractive. Hope this information helps!
