I'm guessing it's Catalpa. If so, the flowers are fragrant and will give way to long, bean-pod shaped green seed pods which eventually turn brown and woody. It's sometimes called 'popcorn' tree or 'vanilla' tree because of the clusters of flowers or the hanging seed pods.
