For years I have great success growing zinnias from seed. But for the past two years, I plant the seeds in beds, and as soon as they come up with their first two leaves, something eats the leaves entirely, leaving only the tiny stem, so of course they can't grow. I've re-seeded both years, with same results. I haven't actually seen any insects on them, but I've seen slugs and 'pillbugs' consistently over the last several years. Could either of these be the culprit? If so, how do I get rid of them? Thank you in advance, I miss my zinnias! |
so pests and diseases specific to that plant don't have a good chance to buildup in the soil over time. Hope this helps--I love zinnias also! so pests and diseases specific to that plant don't have a good chance to buildup in the soil over time. Hope this helps--I love zinnias also! |
