The Q&A Archives: Shearing Dwarf Burning Bush

Question: when is the best time to shear and would it hurt anything if did at this time, end of may?

Answer: Mid to late spring is a good time to shear the shrub. It is slow growing and should only need it once a year. You will however remove some or all of the blooms and the resulting decorative red berries by doing this.
