When I can safely cut back the leaves of my spring flowering bulbs? The daffodills & hyanciths finished blooming about 5 weeks ago and the tulips finished about 2 weeks ago. Thank you for your prompt reply.

Wait until the foliage turns brown on its own, then cut it away at soil level. The leaves are supplying the bulbs with energy for next spring's flower display. If you cut the foliage away too soon, next year's flower will be smaller - or even non-existent.
