I have received "house for butterflies". It is adorable, but what do I put inside for the butterflies to "nest" upon?
It is just a wooden box with slots. Empty inside.......
Want to do the right thing.

Butterflies will use the house for shelter and, if you're lucky, for hibernation. You don't need to add anything at all to the inside of the house. Place it in a sheltered site, make sure it is near flowering plants, and provide a source of water (birdbath, etc.) If butterflies feel safe in your yard, they'll use the house you've provided. Good luck with your butterfly population!
