This houseplant prefers bright but indirect light and ample water and humidity. It will tolerate lower light as well. From spring to fall, fertilize lightly with a water soluble fertilizer for foliage plants according to the label instructions. If it is blooming then it is healthy and must like the location where you have it and the care you have been giving it. Trim away the bloom stem when the flowers have faded. If the plant has grown a lot since you got it, it may need to be repotted into a larger pot. Spring is a good time to do that. Try to use a soil mix that is of the same type as it is growing in now.
