I recently purchased a home that borders a salt marsh. The lawn needs help, and I was wondering if there is species of grass that is more likely to flourish in the salty, sandy environment. |
Perennial ryegrass and tall fescue are two species that are moderately tolerant to salinity. Your state wetland management agency can probably help you choose a native grass or turf type that is best for your situation. Sorry I can't be more specific, but if you get the info from the experts there in MA, you'll have the best chance of success. Best of luck! |
