Pixie lilies are some of the Asiatic hybrid group. All lilies need rich, well-drained soil that has plenty of organic matter. Most lilies prefer to have their roots in the shade and their tops in sun or filtered sunlight. If you received a plant, you can leave it in the container. Keep soil moderately moist and top dress with some compost. If you received bulbs, planting holes depend on the size of the bulb. A general guide is to cover small bulbs with 2-3 inches of soil; medium bulbs with 3-4 inches of soil. Lilies should never be allowed to dry out. You can reduce watering in the fall as foliage yellows, but don't let the roots dry out. Wait until leaves and stems yellow before cutting back. They can be repotted in late fall or early spring.
