The Q&A Archives: Celeste Fig Tree

Question: I bought a Celeste fig tree from Burpee in 1997 for my greenhouse. I am looking for more information about this particular tree.

Answer: 'Celeste' produces violet-tinged, bronzy skinned fruit with rosy-amber flesh. The figs are good fresh; resist spoilage and dry well on the tree. The tree is not particular about soil, can be held to 10' in a large container; can also be trained as an espalier along a fence or wall. Hope this answers your question!
