| My neighbor has planted bamboo and it is invading my garden and yard. How do I get rid of it? I have tried using Roundup with some success. |
| Ahh, the question of the ages. Many a neighbor has been plagued by another neighbor's bamboo taking over the community. I have heard such horror stories.....the only real way to get rid of it is to dig, dig, dig. I attended a lecture of a well known horticulturist/author recently who reported he had to dig down 7 feet at his property line and bury sheet metal along the border of his property. Herbicides will work, but only to a limited degree. Bamboo roots go a long way....I would say all the way to China. |
