| Trumpet vine, Campsis radicans, is a very low maintenance plant. It can be trimmed back as hard as desired in late winter or very early spring and given an application of compost and/or complete fertilizer such as 10-10-10 according to the label instructions each spring. The plant blooms on new growth of the season, so prune only early in the season to avoid cutting off the flower buds. |
