My wife and I have 78 rose bushes. We have been growing roses for over 10 years. I fertilize with Miricle-gro for Roses. This year we have plenty of foilage but the rose buds are scarce.
Do you have any suggestions. At this time of the year, we normally cut about 3 dozen blooms per day.

We have had an unusual spring and it is possible that the weather has delayed blooming. It is also possible that the organic matter content, nutrient balance (and possibly pH) in the soil have changed over the years and it needs to be reworked or adjusted. I would suggest you run some basic soil tests and see. Your county extension should be able to help you with the tests and interpreting the results. Good luck with your roses!
