I have a wisteria vine that is about four years old. In my area when other vines were already blooming, mine was still all wood. It finally started to green up very nicely about three weeks later, it has profuse green leaves but now the tips of some of the leaves are curling and turning brown. Do you know what might be the problem?

It is possible that a late frost caused some damage, killing off flower buds and damaging the leaves with the damage only becoming apparent now. There is also a possibility that the dry weather we had earlier this spring could have caused some developmental problems. However, there could also be a disease or pest at work so you might want to consult with your county estension, their number is 825-0900.
