The Q&A Archives: Bringing Coleus Indoors

Question: I planted some lovely coleus this spring. Do coleus make good house plants? Can I pot up my plants and bring them indoors in the fall?

Answer: Coleus will grow all year 'round if provided bright light, occasional feeding, and regular watering. You might want to cut the plants back to a manageable size before potting them up. Then continue to pinch the growing tips to encourage a bushy growth habit, and remove the flower stems as they appear.
