I am trying to find Chia Pet replacement seeds. The type of seed is "Salvia Columbariae." Can you recommend another type of seed?

The common name for Salvia columbariae is actually Chia! Salvia is a member of the sage family. Chia is an ornamental sage with the potential to grow four feet high with 1" to 4" leaves! It never gets quite that large on a Chia Pet because there's no room for the roots to grow. Here are a couple of sources for seed:

Wild Seed, Inc. Native Seeds/SEARCH
PO Box 27751 2509 No.Campbell Ave. #325
Tempe, AZ 85285 Tucson, AZ 85719
602/345-0669 520/327-9123

An herb like sage is a good choice for a Chia Pet because, if eaten, it's non-toxic.
