The Q&A Archives: Painted Daisy

Question: I have a painted daisy. It became all gangly and falling over. Do you cut them back at this point or is that how they grow?

Answer: Painted Daisy is Chrysanthemum coccineum. It's a bushy plant growing 2'-3' high and 1 1/2' wide. If you cut it back after blooming, it may bloom again later in the summer.
