The Q&A Archives: Rosary Plant

Question: I Been looking for a plant of .25 inches diameter green round balls for long time. In Mexico people call them rosary. Once I seen the plant in a Sunset magazine. Can you please let me know if you carry this plant or where I can find it.

Answer: The botanical name for Rosary Plant is Ceropegia woodii. It's also called String of Hearts because the wiry stems grow about 3' long and have heart-shaped leaves. Most large stores with gardening sections should carry the plant. If not, they can order it for you (now that you have the botanical name!) Good luck in your search.
