| I did not get to plant several tulip bulbs this year. Is there anyway to preserve these bulbs until I can plant them? When would be the best time to plant them next season? |
| Well... They're better off being planted in the fall. It's possible the snow will leave and the ground won't be thoroughly frozen so that you can still plant them this year! However, if that doesn't happen, remove them from the plastic bag (if that's what they're in) and store them in old nylon stockings in a dry place until next planting season. If there is any sign of fungal disease, dust them with a fungicide. Then next year you can plant them right up to about 2-4 weeks before the ground freezes. |
