| Some "drought tolerant" perennials for full sun would include salvia, purple coneflower, rudbeckia (black-eyed susan), yarrow, sedum and dianthus. These will need adequate moisture during the establishment period and during periods of drought, despite the term drought tolerant they do need some moisture in the soil to survive. If planted under eaves or some other situation where rain does not reach the ground, then they will need regular watering. Using a mulch can help reduce that, but will not eliminate the need. |
